Several people here have expressed surprise (I can only hope it was pleasant) that I speak and write 'well'. Really? In this day and age?
Stereotypes are handy - they are a great way to predict and respond to behaviour you find alien (e.g. eating a tub of ice-cream after you break-up) or amusing. It is nice to see people not be stereotypical; just don't say it.
And while we're at it, I didn't have an arranged marriage.
